RECENT TESTIMONIAL

Pretty good.  3 and 3 with 2 female alternates.  One engineer, a musician, a surgery tech – alternate, wedding photographer, flight attendant, FAU student – alternate.  Don’t remember the rest off hand.  We weaved through the minefield and actually ended up with a pretty good jury.  A lot of the bad potential jurors were struck for cause.  Everyone was surprisingly open during jury selection.

We got through the testimony today.  Dr. [Name Redacted] testified today.  Changed her opinion on one of the images while on the stand and said it actually was over 18.  I think that actually helped us.  She came across as very biased and we asked someone in the audience later and they said she did not come across as particularly credible.  The questions you gave did the job.  I appreciate the effort.  I modified them a bit (I am a lawyer:) but followed the plan.  Judge allowed her to testify as an expert, but my (your) voir dire was effective.

I will let you know what the verdict is.  We have a decent chance.  The primary defense was the location of the images in cache on the computer.  The investigating agent was about as incompetent an officer as I’ve ever seen.  The state’s computer actually helped us.  The information you gave us just confirmed the shoddy prosecution and investigation, and will definitely give the jury something else to think about.

Thanks for the help.  It not only was great in this case, but also will help me prepare for experts in the future.  I definitely like how you break down the testimony and incorporate the expert evidence requirements through out the examination.
